Hamilton criticises Leclerc's 'do or die' approach after Mexico City opening-lap clash

Lewis Hamilton has criticised Charles Leclerc's approach to wheel-to-wheel racing after the two Ferrari drivers collided at Turn 4 on the opening lap of the race. Leclerc received a five-second time penalty for gaining an advantage off the track, which allowed Max Verstappen to move ahead of Hamilton.

Hamilton said he was "really pissed" after the race, and pointed to a previous opening-lap tussle at Monza as evidence of a pattern. He suggested Leclerc's mentality is "do or die" and said he would like to see a more cooperative approach, citing the one-two finish at Silverstone earlier this year when he chose not to make a "kamikaze" move.
