Bearman welcomes Camara as Haas teammate for Sao Paulo
Ollie Bearman has said he is excited for Rafa Camara to make his Formula 1 debut at the Sao Paulo GP, calling the chance to race on home soil "pretty special". Haas recently announced that Esteban Ocon would leave the team before the season ends, with Camara taking his place, earlier than the 2027 start originally agreed in his contract.
Bearman drew a comparison with his own debut, when he stepped in for Carlos Sainz at Ferrari around the Jeddah circuit in 2024 and finished seventh, scoring points after a single practice session. He said he would help Camara as much as possible during the weekend.
Bearman also said Haas's target for the rest of the season is to beat Audi and avoid losing further points to them, after a difficult Mexico City GP where he retired following a collision with Nico Hulkenberg.
