Hamilton set for 400th Grand Prix start at Interlagos
Lewis Hamilton will make the 400th Grand Prix start of his career this weekend at Interlagos, a milestone no other Formula 1 driver has reached without leaving the sport for a period. The Ferrari driver, now 41, has collected 106 wins, 209 podiums and 105 pole positions since his debut with McLaren in 2007, with seven world championships among his achievements.
Hamilton's longevity stands out in particular because he has continued winning across three separate decades. Among his most cited victories are the 2008 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, the 2020 Turkish Grand Prix, which delivered a seventh title, and the 2021 Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos, where he recovered from 10th on the grid to win after penalties.
His record also includes painful moments, most notably the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, where he finished second after a late safety car decision cost him a potential eighth world championship.
