Antonelli tops second practice ahead of Norris in Brazil

Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Lando Norris swapped places at the top of the times in the second practice session at Interlagos. Antonelli was a quarter of a second quicker than anyone at the end of the session, with Max Verstappen third-quickest and George Russell fourth. Oscar Piastri was fifth, with the top four covered by less than a tenth of a second after qualifying simulations on soft tyres.

Thick cloud and slight drizzle affected the session, but drivers were able to complete their running on slick tyres. Neither Ferrari driver featured in the top five, with Lewis Hamilton sixth and Charles Leclerc seven-tenths off the pace. Gabriel Bortoleto ended Friday in eighth place, while Oliver Bearman put his Haas inside the top 10.
