Antonelli fastest in Brazilian GP second practice
Kimi Antonelli topped the second practice session for the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos on Friday, ahead of Lando Norris and Max Verstappen. He set his quickest time just before the halfway point of the session as drivers moved onto soft tyres, lapping in 1m10.763s.
Conditions were cooler and overcast, and several drivers struggled with tyre temperatures. Lewis Hamilton said he "can't get the tyre temperatures up" and was among several drivers to lock up the front-left wheel at Turn 1. Ferrari had a muted start, with Hamilton sixth and Charles Leclerc seventh.
Gabriel Bortoleto was eighth for Audi on home soil, while Rafael Camara completed his first full day as a grand prix driver for Haas, replacing the ousted Esteban Ocon. Nico Hulkenberg remained in the garage after undisclosed issues affecting Freddie Slater earlier in the day.
