Rovanpera and Tanak to return to WRC with Toyota in 2027

Kalle Rovanpera and Ott Tanak are set to return to the World Rally Championship in 2027, as part of Toyota's six-car line-up. Both drivers sat out the 2026 season, although the circumstances behind their absences differ considerably.

Rovanpera, a two-time world champion, had appeared to have ended his WRC career at the close of his previous campaign before his return was announced. Tanak, the 2019 champion, is also making a comeback after a season away from the championship.
