Alex Lynn ends Cadillac WEC spell at Monza before McLaren Hypercar move
Alex Lynn will make his final WEC start for Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA at Monza this weekend before joining McLaren's Hypercar roster ahead of its 2027 debut. The 33-year-old Briton's association with Cadillac dates back to 2017, when he won the Sebring 12 Hours overall on debut with Wayne Taylor Racing.
Lynn highlighted a podium at Le Mans, a pursuit of pole at the French classic in 2025, and a key role in Cadillac's first WEC victory at Interlagos. He missed much of the season recovering from a neck injury, and his return with JOTA in Barcelona saw the #12 crew finish sixth.
Lynn said he was hopeful of being more competitive at Monza, and that he remains "forever grateful" to GM and Cadillac for the platform they gave him.
