Heimgartner and BJR extend R&J Batteries deal for 2027
Brad Jones Racing has confirmed that the #8 Toyota Supra will continue in R&J Batteries colours next season, extending a partnership that began in 2020. The sponsor has been the only full-season primary commitment in the team's line-up for the last two years, with the #14 and #96 entries running on rotating deals.
Driver Andre Heimgartner said the team was excited to keep the sponsor for another year and hopes to reward that commitment with a place in the Finals series, having narrowly missed out in each of the last two seasons. He pointed to the team's win in Tasmania this year, which he said was enjoyed by owners Ray and Rhonda Robson.
Ray Robson described the relationship as a close one and said the Supra was looking forward to competing near the front of the field in its second year in the Supercars paddock. R&J Batteries CEO Stuart Hamilton said the partnership had opened opportunities for growth and support for staff and customers across Australia and New Zealand.
