Yamaha blocks Davide Gentile's move to Ducati, Morbidelli seeks electronics engineer
Ducati had been looking for an electronics engineer to work alongside Franco Morbidelli for the coming season after Alessandro Castagnetti left the team. Davide Gentile, who currently works for Yamaha and has a long career in the Superbike paddock, including a spell at Kawasaki, was identified as a candidate.
According to the report, talks with Gentile were progressing, but Yamaha stepped in and kept its engineer, meaning Gentile will remain with the Japanese manufacturer next year. Ducati will now have to prepare an alternative option.
No changes are planned on the other side of the garage, with Fausto Ghafar continuing to work alongside Iker Lecuona.
