Dall'Igna praises Marquez's 'timing' after dominant Malaysia MotoGP win

Ducati general manager Gigi Dall'Igna has praised Marc Marquez after the Spaniard dominated the Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang, leading every lap and finishing more than four seconds clear. It was Marquez's third win at Sepang in the premier class, his first there since 2018, and his seventh MotoGP race victory of 2026.

Dall'Igna said the timing of the victory was as significant as its scale, noting that Marquez has won seven of the last 11 rounds since returning from injury. With Jorge Martin absent through injury and Marco Bezzecchi lacking performance, Marquez now heads to Qatar with a 44-point lead over Martin and 67 over Bezzecchi.

Dall'Igna also stressed that the race was demanding, with rear tyre management on the Sepang track at those temperatures requiring careful handling. Marquez's brother Alex finished third for Gresini.
