Bagnaia gives unclear answer on Ducati comments in Qatar

Pecco Bagnaia has given an unclear response to questions about cryptic remarks he made about his Ducati MotoGP bike after finishing 13th at the Malaysian Grand Prix. The double world champion said he had looked for another way to attract media attention because of good results, adding that people were still talking about it and that it had worked.

Bagnaia's 2026 season has declined since the summer break, and he said something that previously worked on his bike no longer existed after his 2025 Japanese Grand Prix win. Ducati's Davide Tardozzi had said he had no idea what Bagnaia was referring to.

Looking ahead to the Qatar weekend, Bagnaia said he believes he can fight for a top-six result if he can work well with the team. He also said he had been worried about racing in Qatar amid the Iran conflict, but trusted MotoGP, IRTA and the organisers.
