Jorge Martin cleared by doctors to race in Qatar

Jorge Martin has been given the green light by MotoGP Medical Director Angel Charte to ride at Losail, after passing the examination required under the new medical protocol. The examination took place at 12:15 p.m. Qatar time.

The Aprilia rider fractured the radius in his right arm during the Phillip Island Sprint. He attempted to race at Sepang but withdrew before qualifying. Since returning to Spain he has continued treatment and will now attempt to complete the weekend in Qatar.

Martin is second in the championship standings, 44 points behind Marc Marquez.
