Verstappen says Red Bull radio has improved
Max Verstappen has given an update on Red Bull's ongoing radio problems, saying the connection to the pit wall has improved since Mexico. He said the team could hear him clearly there, and joked that it was "fantastic" if the outside world could not.
Verstappen also explained his frequent complaints about gearshifts during practice, saying he is never satisfied and always looks for further improvements to find lap time. Radio clarity has been an issue for both him and Isack Hadjar across several grands prix, with his engineer Gianpiero Lambiase having to use codes for strategy talks at the Singapore GP.
With the Sao Paulo GP expected to be wet, it will be another test for the new power units in those conditions. Verstappen also joked about a software bug in Malaysia that stopped several cars on the way to the grid, saying he had installed antivirus on his car.
