Verstappen hosts Gounon and Juncadella at Red Bull garage in Mexico

Max Verstappen has explained why Nurburgring 24 Hours teammates Jules Gounon and Dani Juncadella visited the Red Bull garage during the Mexican Grand Prix weekend. The pair asked to attend a Grand Prix, and Mexico was chosen as the guests could visit at a relaxed time while Verstappen was sitting out FP1.

Verstappen said he used the opportunity to show them around the back of the garage and to explain how a Formula 1 operation differs from the GT and Hypercar worlds they know. He pointed to the number of people who work in F1 and described explaining aspects of the bodywork and aerodynamic tricks. "That's nice, because you speak the same language," he said.
