Norris wins wet-dry Sao Paulo GP ahead of Verstappen
Lando Norris won the Sao Paulo Grand Prix for McLaren, his third victory of the season, beating Max Verstappen after a wet-dry-wet race at Interlagos. Norris started from pole but lost the lead to new world champion Kimi Antonelli on the opening lap. He pitted early for dry tyres and regained the lead after Antonelli spun at the first corner.
Verstappen took his eighth consecutive podium with a recovery from 21st on the grid to second, while his Red Bull team-mate Isack Hadjar finished third. Verstappen's charge included making up 10 places almost immediately after the start.
Antonelli's spin on the pit exit was described as a costly error that probably cost him a podium, though he recovered to fourth.
