Norris wins Brazilian GP but hit by podium firework
Lando Norris won the Brazilian Grand Prix after taking pole in a qualifying session held in changeable conditions. He led home Kimi Antonelli by 14.5 seconds, with Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar completing the top three.
His podium celebrations did not go to plan. His champagne bottle shattered when it hit the ground, and a sprinkler firework on the podium sent sparks into the right side of his head. McLaren team principal Stella said he had not spoken to Norris but understood he was all right.
The result also settled the constructors' title, with Mercedes needing to outscore Ferrari by only three points, which it did. Antonelli had already secured the drivers' championship in Mexico City, becoming the youngest Formula 1 world champion of all time.
