Verstappen rues Red Bull handling after Brazil podium
Max Verstappen finished second at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix after starting 21st, following a new power unit fitted to his Red Bull. He was far from satisfied with the car's balance, however, saying it had been difficult to drive for much of the 71-lap race.
After switching to slick tyres, Verstappen reported extreme oversteer in the high-speed corners. He said he wanted to know whether something had broken on the RB22, such as an aero loss, because the problem was not normal. Verstappen added that he believed there was more to gain had the car been in better shape.
He said he would like to start further forward next year, and noted that wet conditions had offered more chances to pass cars. Verstappen said the team still needed to understand what went wrong with the car once it ran on slicks.
