Norris takes pole in Brazil as rain disrupts qualifying
Lando Norris secured pole position for the São Paulo Grand Prix, his third Brazilian pole in three years, after thunderstorms caused lengthy delays during Saturday's qualifying session at Interlagos.
Qualifying was interrupted just seconds after it began, with conditions too poor for almost 90 minutes. The session ran for close to two and a half hours from start to finish, and more rain was forecast for race day.
Several drivers face grid penalties linked to power unit component changes. George Russell has a five-place penalty, Charles Leclerc has a 10-place penalty, and Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen both start from the back of the grid.
