Mercedes seal 2026 constructors' title at Brazil Grand Prix
Mercedes have regained the Constructors' Championship after the Brazil Grand Prix, where Mercedes drivers finished fourth and fifth at Interlagos. It is the team's first constructors' title since the 2021 season.
Team principal Toto Wolff credited a strong start to the season, when Mercedes won the first six Grands Prix, for getting the team over the line. He said the last few races had been challenging, but praised the organisation for returning to the top after several years. Kimi Antonelli had already won the Drivers' Championship at the Mexico Grand Prix, the most recent race before Brazil.
With the title secured, Mercedes now have nine constructors' titles, tying them with Williams. Wolff said he had never thought that was possible, adding that he had a close relationship with Frank Williams. Three more races remain in the 2026 season.
