Leclerc plans major car changes after difficult Brazil practice

Source: Sky Sports · · added 1 hour ago

Charles Leclerc says he will make "significant" setup changes to his car after one of the worst feelings he has had in a car this year during second practice at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix. He was seven tenths off pace-setter Kimi Antonelli, while Lewis Hamilton was nearly half a second behind as Ferrari trailed Mercedes, McLaren and Red Bull on Friday.

Hamilton said the track was bumpy and slippery, making it hard to get the tyres into the right window, and he struggled to generate tyre temperature through the day. Rain is forecast for qualifying on Saturday afternoon, and Sunday will be very cold at 15C.

Leclerc also arrived late in Brazil after his wife Alexandra gave birth to a baby girl, Bianca, on Wednesday. He becomes the fifth driver on the current grid to be a father.
