Hamilton says Leclerc relationship 'just fine' after talks
Lewis Hamilton says he and Charles Leclerc have cleared the air after their clash at the Mexico City Grand Prix, speaking without team principal Fred Vasseur present. He told Sky Sports after qualifying in Brazil that the two still have a huge amount of respect for each other and that they have been getting along just fine.
The pair ran each other off the road on the first lap in Mexico, an incident that arguably cost Ferrari the win, with Max Verstappen taking the victory. Hamilton said both drivers had given their points and areas they could improve, with no demands from either side, and that he hopes for better races going forward.
Hamilton qualified 11th before a back-of-the-grid penalty for taking new power unit parts after FP3, and he will start 20th in Brazil after setting a time in Q2.
