Hamilton says he will not be silenced after Leclerc clash in Mexico City
Lewis Hamilton has agreed that Charles Leclerc races him harder than other Formula 1 drivers, following their clash during the opening lap of the Mexico City Grand Prix. Hamilton said he saw the same pattern in Singapore, when Leclerc backed off after appearing to have the inside line into Turn 1.
Hamilton, who dropped behind Max Verstappen in the race, said he was still frustrated and that conversations needed to be had with Ferrari when the time was right. He argued that the team had scored more points than any other in recent races and could have secured a one-two finish, which he said must not happen again.
Hamilton also dismissed criticism of his radio messages, including a comparison with Al Capone from Ralf Schumacher, saying he did not really care how people felt and was not going to be silenced.
