Every rookie to drive in FP1 in F1 2026 so far
All 11 Formula 1 teams must run a rookie driver in each of their cars twice during the 2026 season, meaning four outings are required in total. A rookie is defined by the regulation as any driver who has completed no more than one grand prix.
Racing Bulls had already met the requirement on one side of the garage by round two in China, after Arvid Lindblad's rookie status was taken into account. The list of FP1 rookie runs so far this season covers drivers across McLaren, Mercedes, Red Bull, Ferrari, Williams, Racing Bulls, Aston Martin, Haas, Audi, Alpine and Cadillac.
Haas still needs to replace Bearman in one more FP1 session, as the Brazil run by Rafael Camara does not count because Ocon's car had already fielded two rookies this year.
