Larson closes in on NASCAR Cup title as Martinsville round leaves rivals trailing

Kyle Larson is close to securing the 2026 NASCAR Cup championship with one race remaining. Christopher Bell and Denny Hamlin sit 67 and 70 points behind him in the standings respectively.

Larson's Martinsville race was not without problems, but his closest rivals also struggled, and Hendrick Motorsports dominated the day. William Byron earned his first win as part of that result.
