Allmendinger and Dillon stay at Kaulig for Dodge's 2027 return
AJ Allmendinger and Ty Dillon will remain Kaulig Racing's full-time NASCAR Cup Series drivers when the team transitions to Dodge in 2027, the organisation announced at a press conference at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Friday. Allmendinger will continue in the No. 16 car and Dillon in the No. 10.
Team CEO Chris Rice said the decision was driven by a desire to have proven veterans in the first Dodge season, given the number of new parts and variables the programme involves. Kaulig also plans to field a part-time third entry, which it hopes to run in the Daytona 500, although Rice denied that talks with Brad Keselowski about that car have taken place.
Allmendinger, who has three Cup Series wins, described building a new manufacturer programme with Dodge as a unique challenge. Dodge is set to unveil its Cup Series race car at the 59th annual Snowball Derby on December 4.
