Allgaier wins O'Reilly title as Jones takes Homestead win

Source: TobyChristie.com · · added 20 minutes ago

Justin Allgaier secured the 2026 NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series championship despite finishing seventh at Homestead-Miami Speedway. It is his second title in the last three years, making him the first driver in JR Motorsports history to win multiple championships. Allgaier's six wins this season were a career best, and he entered the finale with a points advantage that held up over four closest rivals.

Brandon Jones of Joe Gibbs Racing took the lead with 14 laps remaining and won by 3.937 seconds over Carson Kvapil. The victory was Toyota's 700th in NASCAR competition and Jones's second of the year and ninth of his career. Sheldon Creed led a race-best 99 of the 200 laps but finished sixth. Jesse Love finished fourth, the best result among the title contenders, but could not overturn the points deficit he faced entering the race.
