Bagnaia suffers two toe fractures after Qatar crash
Francesco Bagnaia has been diagnosed with two fractures in his right foot, affecting the fourth and fifth metatarsals, following a crash during the Sprint race at the Qatar Grand Prix. The incident followed contact with Aldeguer.
MotoGP's chief medical officer, Dr Angel Charte, said initial examinations at the Medical Centre of the Lusail International Circuit revealed the injuries. The rider was due to be transferred to a hospital in Doha that evening for further checks to determine whether surgery is required.
Bagnaia's Qatar Grand Prix is effectively over, and he may return to Italy for surgery if doctors deem it necessary.
