Fortescue Zero unveils Formula E livery as Barnard dispute continues

Source: RacingNews365 · · added 32 minutes ago

Fortescue Zero Racing has officially launched in London, unveiling its black and green livery ahead of its maiden Formula E campaign. The British-based, Australian-licensed team was formed through Fortescue's acquisition of Penske Autosport and will compete under Gen4 regulations from the 2026/27 season, running Jaguar customer powertrains from its Kidlington base. Team principal Jim Wright said the squad intends to "compete, do things differently and earn its place on the grid".

Dan Ticktum, who joins from Cupra Kiro, was confirmed as one of the team's debut drivers and attended the launch. However, the other driver, Taylor Barnard, was absent. His management company has lodged a legal challenge seeking to void his contract with Fortescue Zero, while the team maintains he remains bound to it.

It remains unclear whether the legal challenge will succeed or whether Barnard will line up for the team when testing begins in just over a week.
