Antonelli plans more relaxed approach after clinching title

Source: PlanetF1 · · added 12 minutes ago

Kimi Antonelli says he will approach the remaining four races of the 2026 Formula 1 season with less tension now that he has secured the drivers' championship in Mexico.

The Italian said he expects to enjoy his driving more, but added that he must not relax too much and still needs the same intensity and hunger on track. He also highlighted that Mercedes can seal the Constructors' Championship this weekend if they outscore Ferrari by three points. If they fail, the battle would continue to Las Vegas.

Antonelli also said he had been unwell in Mexico but felt better after the celebrations, though he is not fully recovered. He pointed to the demands of triple-header weekends as a factor for everyone.
