Norris wins in Brazil as Antonelli spins out

Source: Formula1.com · · added 21 minutes ago

Lando Norris took his third win of the season and his second in succession at Interlagos, managing tricky, changeable conditions well. He was passed off the line and dropped to third, but once his tyres reached temperature he began to move forward. Kimi Antonelli's spin handed him the lead, and McLaren's pit stop timing helped him secure a comfortable victory.

Oscar Piastri finished sixth, struggling to match his team-mate's pace. He was unable to keep Max Verstappen behind him, though he did get ahead of Liam Lawson. Norris described the team's operational execution and strategy as among its best performances, and praised the new front wing and upgrade package, while acknowledging the car was still a tenth or two off the frontrunners in practice.

McLaren also congratulated Mercedes on winning the Constructors' Championship, with Norris saying he hoped they would enjoy the moment.
